For our People & Culture team based in Switzerland Head Office we are seeking a motivated and empathetic Global HR Officer- Systems & Data who will be based in Kathmandu, Nepal to join our organisation as per November 2026 or December 2026. Position: Global HR Officer-Systems & Data

Duty station: Kathmandu, Nepal

Duration: Initially two years with a possibility of extension.

Salary and Benefits: As per rules and regulations of Helvetas Nepal.

Your main tasks

• Support the People & Culture Director in driving global HR digital initiatives (e.g. Global Employee Data, Global Onboarding and Global Time Tracking), acting as the key link between the global HR community across 37 countries and the Digital & IT teams.
• For Global Employee Data (live solution): ensure data quality, support the global HR community through training and guidance, and drive continuous system improvement and further development. 
• For Global Onboarding (rollout): coordinate implementation across partner countries, support local HR teams in integrating the solution into their processes, and consolidate feedback for further development. 
• For Global Time Tracking (design): support end-to-end development from the HR perspective, including requirements gathering, process mapping, stakeholder alignment, testing and rollout planning. 
• Across all initiatives, gather and document HR and business requirements, translating the needs of HR teams and employees into clear inputs for system design and development. 
• Contribute to internal HR projects and improvement initiatives across the employee lifecycle - from onboarding to offboarding - gaining broad exposure to global HR practices and actively helping to enhance the quality of HR services and the employee experience.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in HR Management or HR Operations. Experience contributing to the development and implementation of HR initiatives.
• Experience handling confidential digital HR data with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong coordination, organizational and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work across locations and time zones. 
• Ability to translate HR needs into system and process requirements and communicate effectively with non-technical users. 
• Ability to quickly learn new HR systems and support end users with simple troubleshooting and guidance.
• Confident user of Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook) and strong Excel skills for data validation, analysis and reporting.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
