Employment and Reintegration Services Coordinator

Reintegration and Economic Mobility through Inclusive Public Employment Services (ReMi) Project, Phase II (subject to the approval of the ReMi Phase II) is a bilateral initiative between the Governments of Nepal and Switzerland. It is implemented by the Ministry of Youth, Labour and Employment (MoYLE), respective provincial line ministries and participating local governments. The project is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and Helvetas Nepal provides technical assistance.

Helvetas Nepal invites applications from dynamic and committed Nepali citizens for the following positions (subject to the approval of the ReMi Phase II)

Position: Employment and Reintegration Services Coordinator

Duration: Initially for 3 years

Job purpose

• The primary purpose of this position is to work closely with MoYLE to support policy, guidelines and procedures that enhance efficient and effective public employment services delivery at Employment, Skills and Entrepreneurship Centers (ESECs) in Nepal, including support for reintegration of returnee migrants.
• The role aims to strengthen the ESECs across Nepal to ensure its full function and provide holistic and quality services on public employment services, including labour, employment, migration and reintegration.
• Additionally, it involves contributing to the promotion of productive domestic and foreign employment opportunities while fostering synergies with relevant development partners.

Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Master's degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Development Cooperation, or in any relevant discipline. 
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in project/programme with at least 3 years dedicated experience in governance, public policy development, employment services and private sector engagement.
• Having experience in labour migration and working with government system is an added value.
• Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion and poverty reduction; and sensitivity towards migrant workers and their families.
