Emergency Response Senior Program Assistant

Tearfund Nepal is seeking a qualified and committed candidate for the following position.

Position Title: Emergency Response Senior Program Assistant

Duty Station: Kathmandu (40%) with field deployments (60%)

Duration: One year fixed term contract

Key Responsibilities

• Support local partners in implementing and monitoring Nepal flood emergency response projects.
• Conduct frequent field visits to project sites (e.g., Rasuwa, Nuwakot) to oversee activities and verify distributions.
• Ensure partner activities comply with key humanitarian standards (CHS, Sphere, Red Cross Code of Conduct).
• Maintain project records, M&E data, progress reports, and accountability mechanisms.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Business, or a related field.
• Up to 2 years of relevant experience in project support, coordination, or humanitarian response.
• Strong organisational, administrative, IT, and project cycle management skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali.
• Willingness to travel extensively to remote field locations.

Additional Requirements

• Successful completion of police background clearance and watchlist screening.
• Strong commitment to Tearfund's core values and safeguarding policies.
